Seven guides call on the United Nations: a Native American and six Greek Goddesses who are summoned back to the world to help give voice to the spiritually oppressed.
In January 1995 a workshop performance of The Laments took place at Franklin Furnace in New York. A taped performance was screened at the NGO Forum on Women '95 Film Festival, Huairou, China&emdashpart of the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing.
